Hurricanes have a larger scale of destruction than tornadoes. When the atmospheric pressure lowers, it’s defined to be a strong storm to destroy land and to have strong winds. As global climate is increasing every year, atmospheric pressures lower in some places that create hurricanes (Smith, Montgomery 3023). Ocean temperatures are the main ingredient to hurricanes as the ocean temperature gets warmer, hurricanes gather more moister from the ocean to become more powerful (Smith, Montgomery 3025). Currently, hurricane Patricia was recorded to be the strongest storm ever recorded since the air pressure went down to 880 millibars (~12.76 psi) which scientist predicted it would have killed humans and destroy property since the warm temperature

These are the stunning results of climate and carbon cycle model simulations conducted by scientists at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. By using a coupled climate and carbon cycle model to look at global climate and carbon cycle changes, the scientists found that the earth would warm by 8 degrees Celsius (14.5 degrees Fahrenheit) if humans use the entire planet's available fossil fuels by the year 2300. The jump in temperature would have alarming consequences for the polar ice caps and the ocean, said lead author Govindasamy Bala of the Laboratory's Energy and Environment Directorate. In the polar regions alone, the temperature would spike more than 20 degrees Celsius, forcing the land in the region to change from ice and tundra to boreal forests.
