How kids should take responsibility it should be easy for us kids. They will learn to take care of their family when they need help. And teach our children the stuff we learned. Us children should learn how to take responsibility. While we are young it is good to do chores it will help us in life when we need it. We can teach our children the same thing from what we learned when we were young it will help them out in life just as well it helped us in life. Maybe they will learn stuff they will not be lazy like some people just sitting on their sofa drinking lemon cola sitting under the rising sun they will have something to do they will help parents out a whole lot and then it will be easy for the parent. ... I can honestly say with my first kid I knew from the beginning I was going to need to take responsibility in my own hands and raise my kid. I knew it would be hard but I had no idea it was going to be that hard and I had to make a major decision in my life. The job I had I knew I could not support me and my son, so I applied for a job quit my old one without any clue I was going to get the other one. I will say God worked in my favor and must have knew my hardship. Although, no one chooses to be a single parent because of the obstacles and struggles we face, just to find personal time, the money to support the family and family needs, and trying to find time to spend with your kids is a challenge. I remember my grandma telling me, once you have a kid the time you thought you loved so much no longer exist. She wasn't lying because trying to find personal time is the struggle of a lifetime. I recently had twins a year ago and that just made my life even harder just trying to find the time to blink. With three kids in my house taking a simple shower is a struggle because all the kids want to be around you and want to know where is mommy? If I put the twins down for a nap my oldest son wants him time with me, so I have to play a game, read a book or just sit on the couch and watch a movie till the twins wake up. So, napping as a single parent is non-existent in my book. If someone knows the code to taking a nap with three young kids, please let me know because I want to...

Responsible Youngster

...Lauren Goldstein PSY 105 February 2, 2014 Responsible Youngster This is the moment my life changed forever; I became a teenage mother. Let me explain. As far back as I can remember, growing up as a child was full of sugar rushes, imaginary friends, and endless adventures. I was the only child in my mother's house for nine and a half years until my brother was born. I had every toy I asked for and every light up shoe I ever dreamed of. My parents both worked well paying jobs and practically gave me any and everything I wanted.  Many people called me spoiled, but I considered myself loved. Over the years, receiving gifts turned into earning them. I recall my mother giving me a list of daily tasks and chores to complete throughout the week. If I completed each chore and kept my grades up in school I would earn an allowance. It didn’t take long for me to appreciate the value of money. When I was 12 I started saving my money in a purple shoe box that I kept under my bed. Each week I would ask my parents for additional chores so that I could make extra income. By the time I was 14 I decided to do something I loved while getting paid to do it; babysit. On my sixteenth birthday I had saved over $700 and my father took me to open a savings account at the local bank. I remember feeling accomplished and “grown”; not knowing that I would find out the true meaning of that word within a couple of months. As I entered the eleventh grade my uncle, who is two years younger than...

Homeschooling

...------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- Homeschooling: good or not good ------------------------------------------------- Parents, teachers, academicians, educationists and researchers know and agree to the fact that children need to be taught/ educated in order to learn and impact knowledge and skills on them. For kids, this is not exclusively imparting knowledge on them but also taking care of their physical fitness, social welfare where they get to know how interact and live with one another harmoniously, emotional wellness, among other things. This process of schooling also constitutes upbringing; and it should be done in a an environment that is conducive for the children and where they can as well access social amenities essential for a healthy growth, both physical and mental. Why Absent Parent's Should Pay Child Support

...(streetdirectory.com, 1). Introducing my body paragraphs, I will be addressing why absent parents should pay child support, the effects of the children, and the struggles of a single parent. If the parent is present or not they should support their child/children. The government currently spends $500 million dollars per year chasing payments from absent parents, of whom 95 per cent are fathers (Rowena Mason, Telegraph July 13, 2012).If you are not taking the necessary precautions to prevent from bringing a child into the world, then by every means necessary you should help contribute to the care of that child. There is no excuse as to why you cannot get a job or a hustle to help out. I know that some people have ego's the size of a globe or their pride gets in the way of them getting a job at a restaurant, grocery store, mall and etc. However, when you bring a child into the world all of that should be put aside to help with the financial support of your child. The child did not ask to be here, you made the choice to bare responsibility for that child. If both parents are doing what they are suppose to do no child should be without clothes, shoes, shelter, food, water, lights and gas do to one or both parents neglect to uphold their obligations to that child/children. There are approximately 13.7 million single parents in the United States today, and those parents are raising 21.8 million children. The percentage rate of custodial parents is 84 per cent are...

The Battle Against Fast Food Begins In The Home Summary

I agree with the author because if they want a healthy kids then they have to go out of their way to do so, no one else should have to be responsible for their health and diet, and also as a smart kid one should have responsibility in taking care of their own body. When a parent wants a healthy kid then they will take responsibility to do so. Feeding their kid unhealthy food is ok sometimes but not all of the time, especially if the kid is not active. For example, my parents let me eat junk food but when I eat it too much...

Responsibility means taking care of my duties and being accountable for my actions. I understand that I have to take responsibility for everything that happens in my life and for everything that I want to happen that does not happen in my life. I also know that all actions have consequences whether they are good or bad. If I do not know and understand my personal responsibilities then it will be hard for me to prioritize what needs to be done and when. Personal responsibility is making sure that my kids are in good health because as their mother it is my responsibility as well as my duty. I have to make sure that they have the proper essentials that they need for everyday living. Responsibility and Jesus

...Responsibility Many people perhaps think they are very responsible, but do they really know the meaning of responsibility? Responsibility is the quality or state of being responsible that for which anyone is responsible, a duty, a charge or an obligation. Being responsible is when you make your own decisions. You think them through and decide for the right one. (Galatians 6:5) An example of responsibility can be as simple as doing your homework. If your case manager assigns you an assignment where you have to do research and type, you have to be responsible. First of all you have to do research on your own time. Then you have to be responsible enough to type it up and turn it in on time. If you slack off and don’t do what you were told to do, then that is you not being responsible.(Galatians 5:22-23) Another example might be you admitting responsibility. (1 John 1:19) You might have done something wrong, but you have to be responsible to admit it. You are willing to take risks, and you are not afraid of the consequences. The consequences might be bad or good, but you as a responsible person are willing to accept them. You have to make a big decision and really be honest on whether to accept it or not. One last example can be you as a mom or dad taking care of your family. This is a huge responsibility. Not only do you have to support them financially, but you also have to love them, nurture them and teach them how to be productive members of society. Parents have to educate...

Media's Effect on Todays Society

...I would make this story the lead story because as the news director for the local television station I have a responsibility to the local public to keep them informed of news stories involving their town. Unlike the big networks, or the 24 hour all news stations who serve a worldwide audience, My local television station serves a local public who may depend on me to stay informed of any significant news stories that involve their town. Chances are the celebrity death story has already been broadcast on the big news networks as well as other forms of media like radio, and internet. So, as the news director in charge of the local news I would run the city parks closing story as the lead because not only is it my responsibility to run stories that involve the local population of my viewing area but it is my social responsibility as a journalist to report stories that are relevant to the viewers. I believe a city losing its parks would be more important to the local viewers then a celebrity death. I also believe the ratings would still be better because I would still cover the story about the celebrity death I just would not lead with it. I think some people would tune into the news broadcast to hear both stories. Most the local people would care about the three city parks being closed because that town is their home. Those parks could be where they take their kids, exercise, and have family picnics. Those parks are part of the local citizen’s everyday lives and the parks closing...
