Tim Hortons is a well renowned and profitable company, it was founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario. On September 29 2006 Tim Hortons had its very successful initial IPO. Tim Hortons is a franchise based business in which investors are allowed to sell Tim Horton’s products under the brand for a small royalty fee and an initial franchise fee. As the demand for Tim Horton’s grew so did the locations, to 9300 locations worldwide with 4308 stores mainly focused in Canada. Seeing this success Burger King, a well renowned American fast food restaurant wanted to get into the action and decided to completely buy out Tim Hortons. They filed a bid in late 2013 and were accepted by the Federal Bureau of Competition on October 28 2013. All functions
