His Betrayal and Death
William Tyndale went into hiding after his work was denounced by the authorities of the Roman Catholic Church. He was then accused of Hersey and remained in hiding. He continued the translation of the Old Testament form Hebrew into English. The Cardinal Thomas Wolsey ambassador to King Henry V111 was unable to find Tyndale or the location of his hiding place. The mystery still remains upon until today.
Tyndale was later betrayed by his friend Henry Phillips; he was arrested for heresy and was restrained for 500 days in the Vilvoorde Castle. On October 6, 1536, he was convicted and also charged with treason. He was put to death by being strangled and
