We as people think that we should have control over what is going on around us at all times. The way we view something is what we have seen in the past, or have experienced ourselves. I have been guilty of this very thing; everyone has a different perspective on the same situations. People that have religion see things different than people that don’t. Most people just see the situation from their perspective on the outside and they don’t take the time to ask questions or try to see the other side. After reading the following scenario, I would say that the first analogy of the situation fits well. You see that sort of situation all the time, whether you are at the grocery store or at Wal-Mart. I actually witnessed a situation like this once at a store called Game stops. These kids were so bad that they were running around knocking over the displays, the mother was patiently waiting in line to purchase the games that she bought. One of the guys that worked there had to stop the kids from destroying the store, while the mother paid no mind to what was going on. ...Responses 2014-2015 1. In my opinion, my Theory of Knowledge course was exceptional. We learned methodically, starting with building blocks. This method was effective, as it allowed us to fully understand the course’s assignment in the future. Furthermore, learning the basics first allowed us to constantly improve our skills in forming knowledge questions and knowledge claims for our presentation and final essays. This course exceeded my expectations because it allowed me to think beyond the events and consider why they happened. This was hard because I had to train my brain to think differently. However, it was worth it because I grew as a learner and an individual. I think it was important that I knew nothing of the subject prior to this course. This put me in the learner’s seat and allowed me to understand better the things I did not know. ...that I became so gratefully aware of on my trip to the Art Institute of Chicago. Although the entire institute is exquisite in form, the room that held not only one, but four of Hubert Robert’s massive paintings was my favorite. Immediately entering the room it becomes apparent that “The Old Temple” is the focal point, sitting at what many would call eye level, where the emphasis of the room rested so subtly on its shoulders. And big shoulders they were, with a height of 255 cm and a width that complemented at 223.2 cm. At this point, becoming even more relevant as the painting engulfed us further, was the size of the ever-beautiful frame. It suited the painting perfectly in which the value was effected. After this, noticing the elements of art was simple. The painting was made with oil on canvas, and truly helps with the variety of color. What is meant by this, is that it truly feels like the composition takes us to the time of development, however, reasons for this could be due to techniques used in the creation of the artwork. The most notable and visually appealing element to “The Old Temple,” was the use of linear perspective, where the lines move throughout space vanishing at a single point, which most significantly is called the vanishing point. I am very interested in hearing the different stances on welfare and how certain groups of people feel about it. After thinking about the multiple perspectives on this topic, I narrowed it down to three perspectives. ...Psychology Experiment Essay It is inevitable to stop people from creating their own perspectives, but is it possible to change those perspectives or not? The issue that we deiced to study tries to answer the question: Do you believe only what you want to believe? My group and I realized that during this time, especially with the presidential debates, it was important to find an answer to this question. ...Project My Personal Ethics Statement: It is my belief that being aware of and sensitive to the needs of an individual creates the greatest good for all involved. An individual is just that … an individual with ideas, points of view and beliefs individualized by one person. When the individual is recognized within a group, then the group is completed by its individual perspectives. It’s easy to overlook the needs of others when I only think of myself and not the group. It’s easier to be selfish and only think of what I want and need; from my singular perspective my opinions are the only ones that matter. Eurocentrism is the practice of viewing things from a European perspective and it’s effects are usually subconscious in a way that those affected don’t realize they’re affected. So to what extent exactly does literature force us to consider the long term effects of eurocentrism? Now, as they have taught the next generations, which compose themselves of their own children and immigrated families, these traditions get passed on to them, and so on. However, the key point here is that they aren’t passed on as ‘eurocentric beliefs’, rather, they are passed on as ‘normal’ beliefs and traditions.
