Personal Narrative: The Game Called Consequences

I worked in the Breezeway from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. This week had many events went done. Originally, I prepared on a game called “consequences”, which the main idea is sending information about that “every action has its consequence”. In another world, if you have good behavior, you can give positive reinforcement to help you reach your goal. In contract, if you have bad behavior, you will have negative reinforcement to lead you away from your goal. I planned to play this game in the morning, however, when I went into my group room, there are only three people here because other clients were a little bit late for some reason. Therefore, I moved the game to afternoon and found something else to fill up the time in the morning group. …show more content…
Nevertheless, I was very surprised that there was a client, he was not used to talking or interacting with other people but today he walked to me and asked me to read the bible for him. I remembered that paragraph was John Chapter 14 and I read in group meeting even I cannot totally understand what some words’ meaning in it due to my English ability, I was impressed that clients were enjoyed when I did it. After the group meeting, we had a special guest which is from the Middle Flint Behavioral Healthcare. Cherian is an LPN in Middle Flint and she is also an HIV/AIDS case manager for our Community. On Friday, she brought HIV/AIDS bingo game during the group meeting. She taught some HIV/AIDS common knowledge with the game such as Atlanta has the heist number of AIDS patients. The information she taught was very useful and fun. Most of the clients enjoyed the game and got their prize happily. Furthermore, she provided the free HIV test for the clients if they want to and all the result are confidential. The whole game went out great and successful in the …show more content…
At the very beginning, everybody seems lack of interesting because I ask them to write down their own goal, two good behaviors can help reach the goal and two bad behaviors can lead them away from their goal. The game seems like boring and too easy, about five minutes later, clients were very into the game. When they pick up the good behavior and have the chance to go forward, they were happy. In cons, when they pick up the bad car and have to go backward, they are very mad. We totally played one hour, but no one reached their goal. I spend 10 meaning to explain the meaning of whole game in the end. First, the die only has number one and two instead of like another regular die has number one to six. It limited the step you moved each time because most of the people can improve themselves step by step rather than leap forward in the real life. That’s the reason why it is very difficult to reach either in the game or in lives. Second, when they played the game, they have to pick up the cards which may write down good behaviors or bad behaviors. These actions represent that people have the choice in their life. Sometimes may be a good choice and sometimes maybe not, and different action may lead different consequences behind. In postmodern society, we define ourselves by what we consume. This is a fundamental break with modernity. They therefore take a relativist position. In this article, we will outline the principles of stakeholder capitalism and describe how this view rejects problematic assumptions in the current narratives of capitalism. Traditional narratives of capitalism rely upon the assumptions of competition, limited resources, and a winner-take-all mentality as fundamental to business and economic activity. These approaches leave little room for ethical analysis, have a simplistic view of human beings, and focus on value-capture rather than valuecreation.
