Slavery was abolished in December 1865, a small step that would later result into still many years of abuse, prejudice, and injustice towards African-Americans. When would the oppression that befell black Americans finally end? When would they have equal rights like everyone else? On December 1, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama, Rosa Parks rose up against the injustice being displayed.
