Why Student’s Should Be Able To Have Their Backpacks While They Shop?

Many shops or stores have a sign on their door that says “ student’s must leave their backpacks at the front desk”. This sign is used to keep student’s from having their backpacks while they are shopping. This prevents student’s from putting candy bars or other cool things that might interest them into their backpacks and sneak off with it and steal from the stores. I disagree with the fact that students have to put their backpacks at the front desk while they are shopping. Cashiers could easily grab into the students backpack. The cashier could easily steal something when the students not looking, it’s also not right that adults don’t have to put their bags at the front desk as we do, and my last important thought is that students are blamed more for stealing when they haven’t done anything. My first reason to why students should be able to have their backpacks while they are shopping is because, when a student leaves their backpacks at the front desk of the a store. There could possibly be a cashier who could steal something out of the students backpack while their not looking. The student wouldn’t know until he or she got home and looked in their backpack to find out that something was missing. It would be too late for the students to get it back and the person would already be gone.

My second reason to why students should be able to have their backpacks with them while they are shopping is because, adults don’t have to obey the same rules that students have to in life. Adults can have their bags inside of any store and not have to worry about having to give their bags to the cashier at the front desk of the store when they walk in. Adults should have to follow the same rules that students do. Some adults are just as bad when it comes to stealing, and it just isn’t right that students get punished more than adults do.

My final reason to why students should be able to wear their backpacks with them while they are shopping is because, not all students steal. Students who don’t intend to steal in life are punished just because of students who steal in life. Students who do not steal have a harder time buying something for their family or for themselves because they have to be constantly watched by the cashiers. Students who don’t steal should be able to have the same rights as adults do. Students of all ages are being convicted and being discriminated by the corporate offices, managers, and the cashiers for stealing when they haven’t stolen anything.

Therefore, my conclusion to the problem with students not getting to have their backpacks while shopping. Is that sometimes people need to stop and think that not all students should be convicted or discriminated for the purpose of stealing. Not all students are bad when it comes to going to the store and buying something. There are students who wouldn’t steal. That’s why I disagree, and that’s why student should be able to have their backpacks while shopping at a store.
