How to Achieve Career Advancement
Think about all the things you have done to advance your career and practice. Like others in this field, you have likely spent a great deal of time, money, and attention on setting up your office and honing your skills at treatment, and you have put a lot into advertising your services. But how much have you done toward creating relationships and wonderful experiences for your patients? Have you ever really thought about the little things you could do to wow them, to really impress them, and to set yourself apart from others?
I’ve worked with a lot of doctors over the years and there has been a common theme among them: they are evaluating their office and advertising and working on improving their skills to …show more content…
Those happy and impressed patients will do all the work for you. They will be the ones to advance your career as they spread the good news about your office and personality with all of their friends, family, and even strangers they meet in the store.
Instead of spending so much time directly working on advancing your career and growing your practice, turn your efforts toward your patients and let them do that work for you. Treat them like gold and they will become your biggest cheerleader, helping to advance your career and grow your business without you even having to be in the driver’s seat. You also won’t have to spend a lot of money on advertising to get new patients, because they will want to tell people about you, bringing in new patients for you on a regular basis.
How does that sound as a new approach to advancing your career? Give it a try and see where it takes you. If this method doesn’t work, you can always go back to doing what you have been doing all along. But my guess is that once you try this, there will be no going back. You will have a cheering section for you out on the streets, pushing your career along and growing your business …show more content…
If they go somewhere to receive mediocre treatment that just meets their expectations, they don’t expect to have to pay much. In our society, people overwhelmingly believe that you get what you pay for. If something is cheap, for example, they expect it also to be mediocre or just barely acceptable. People expect that middle-of-the-line products will meet their expectations. But when people pay a higher premium for something, they also expect the treatment to be premium. When you are providing your patients with an amazing experience that is unlike what they get elsewhere, they will be willing to pay more for that
