Day 1
Day 2
idnes。cz/vlakyautobusy/spojeni/
Day 1
(The Church of Our Lady before Tyn),教堂里面没开放,只能通过大门内的玻璃门看看。
那边主要景点是老新犹太会堂(Old- New Synagogue),老犹太公墓(Old jewish Cemetery),新犹太公墓(New Jewish Cemetery)等。
Day 2
Nicholas Church),胜利之后圣母堂(Church of Our Lady)和圣多玛(Church of St。
Day 3
(The Church of St。 Peter and St。
Day 4
Day 5
Day 6

Travel as Medicine

...Due: 7-11-11 The serenity of Caribbean waters or the rich culture of European countries all take me to a place far from the monotonous day to day routine of life. The mere thought of getting away from it all immediately brings calmness to my spirit and a recharge to my battery. Travel carries a universal theme of being therapeutic and has often been noted as one of the best forms of medicine. Therapy is played out by the simple idea of being in a place outside the norm, taking time to rejuvenate with rest and relaxation and creating lasting memories to draw from for those times when travel is needed but not warranted. These are instances where getting away may not be conducive to a persons schedule or budget and memories then become priceless commodities that can be pulled out at any given time. There are millions of places to travel to nationwide and abroad. Tourists are constantly seeking new beaches, museums, national parks and places that allow them to see and visit sites outside of their normal cities. Frequent travelers often take trips seasonally, annually or at will if money is no issue. However, the average consumer may simply look for outlets to relieve stress and places that allow them to do so. Taking a vacation does not necessarily have to constitute flying clear across the country just to get away. Going to a place that you have never visited before could be medicinal therapy in and of itself if it allows a break in routine. Rest and relaxation are two...

History of Travel

...also involved the change from wood and other bio-fuels to coal. * The English before the days of holidays overseas had a great love of holidays. The railway links to sea side towns encouraged people to travel to the coast for their holidays. In the 1920's and 1930's on bank holiday weekends trains would be packed with people travelling from the cities to the seaside resorts. Wealthy families started to visit the seaside in the 18th century. The railways expansion in the 1840s and 1850s made travel more affordable and by 19th century the seaside holiday developed. 20th CENTURY * In the 1930s, passenger air travel became less and less of an innovation. Having started with a stutter immediately after the First World War, it then developed on a more continuous basis in the late 1920s and early 1930s as commercial airline operations became well-known. This was mainly so in countries where aviation had reached a rather advanced stage of expansion. In Europe and North America, for example, a flight industry and an aviation organisation (airports and flying schools) continued flying for military, postal, commercial and leisure purposes * By law, every UK travel corporation which sells air holidays and flights is required to hold an ATOL, which stands for Air Travel Organiser’s Licence. ATOL was first introduced in 1973, as the popularity of abroad holidays...

...Come along with me on an exciting time traveling journey, on our trip we will go to many far away periods, including the Italian Renaissance, the Early 20th Century and the Indian Civilization. Time travel can be dis-orienting. This is also what it is like to appreciate works of art from different periods. As your tour guide back into time I have prepared this book to prepare you for the tour. The first three chapters of this book, prepares travelers for their journey and will help them remain oriented. The information provided in the first three chapters provide a frame of reference that can reduce the dis-orienting effect of visiting later periods of art history and cultures one may be unfamiliar with. We will ask;" how is the work of art we are observing "attained". Getting a proper orientation of architecture or a visual art is similar to taking a tour of a college campus. When you approach a college campus for the first time there are various buildings on the campus. You will have your first impressions as you approach the campus from a distance and more impressions as you get closer- which changes your perspective. Once one has visited several college campuses one learns how to orient themself. You can quickly find the administration building, library, dorms, etc. To keep one from getting lost in the world of Art developing a frame of reference can reduce culture shock and time disorientation. This book examines three periods and three different types of Art that will serve...

Why We Travel

...The article “Why We Travel” by Pico Iyer talks about his views and opinions on why people travel to foreign places and what they expect to gain from their trips. He also mentioned a few of his past experiences and his feelings based on his travelling days. Based on this article, we conclude that travelling is not only moving elsewhere other than our homes and coming back the same person. It changes a person’s perception of life in either positive or negative ways. Through his personal travels, he has highlighted travelling makes him sees in a different point of view in most of the countries like in Paris, Mickey Rourke was still known as the greatest actor since Jerry Lewis. I’m in a full agreement in his statement of his definition of the joy travelling as people have to be open minded to enjoy ourselves. An example which would be meeting and understanding the local trends like I did when I was in Japan. Their trending faster than Malaysia when I was there. Besides that, he brought up that travelling is a way to reverse time to a small extent, and make a day last a year. I also strongly support this as families tend to cram a bunch of activities all in a day because no one in this world wants to “waste time” but wanting to make use of the little time they have away from home. I have also experienced travelling and wanting to accomplish all the plans in a day as I was in Italy for 2 months of vacation but unfortunately did not manage to visit all the...

Why People Travel

...One reason one might travel is for Relaxation. All work and no play is not a good thing. People need to get away from the stress of their everyday life, and a nice sunny location with a beach might just be what that person needs to relax. Another reason one might travel is to visit family and friends. Many people have family members and friends that are located in different parts of the world. They need to visit with them even if it’s for a short period of time. Another reason one might travel is to Celebrate. Many people travel to celebrate special occasions such as: a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or birth. There’s always something to celebrate and it doesn’t always happen where you live. Another reason one might travel is to go on a Honeymoon. When people get married they usually celebrate their wedding by going on a Honeymoon. This usually occurs after a wedding, but there are many occasions where people celebrate their honeymoon years later. Another reason one might travel is work related. Job requirements might mean a fair bit of travel is involved. Even if the travel is within your own country it still has a purpose attached to it. My most recent travel experience was to Six Flags over Georgia. My reason for traveling was to get away from my hometown and go somewhere and have fun and enjoy myself. We chose to go to Six Flags over Georgia because we enjoy riding the rides in the amusement park, and we also were able to go to the water park (White...

Why People Travel

...Why People Travel HTT 200 Why People Travel There are numerous reasons an individual would choose to travel away from home. Couples looking for a romantic getaway may travel to a tropical location in hopes of enjoying a warm and sunny location during the cold winter months. Individuals with families will travel to visit other family members or friends who live in other parts of the world. People also travel for business purposes catching flights that will quickly take them to their destination. Many individuals travel for celebrations like weddings, births, and even funerals (Merith, 2009). My favorite reason to travel is for relaxation. My husband and I travel a few times each year for romantic getaway weekends. The pressures of our jobs, the lack of privacy in our home, and the need for a quiet place to relax without the obligations of parenthood are just a few of the reasons we have for traveling. We have a favorite hotel where we enjoy spending the weekends away. We are there so often the staff knows us by name. The property is a Wyndham historic hotel that has been restored to its former glory. The restaurant, The Dancing Goat, serves elegant meals in a cozy atmosphere and the piano bar offers a late night opportunity for dancing and romance. The candlelit tables and soft piano music create a dreamy atmosphere. This hotel is also close to the plantation house where my husband and I were married. It is a wonderful experience each time we visit...

Travel Trends

...MICE Industry:Business Travel Business visitors to London in the first three months of 2010 grew by 5% Business trips to the UK capital up despite tough economic climate Wednesday, July 21, 2010 The number of business visitors to London in the first three months of 2010 grew by 5% over the same period last year. This is the first quarterly rise since the second quarter of 2007. Meanwhile, spending by people on business trips leapt by 21%, up to almost £500m. These strong figures, published by the International Passenger Survey, come despite difficult economic conditions. The survey also found that overall visitor numbers to London in the first quarter fell by just 1% from the same period in 2009. This compares with a fall of 5% nationally. This drop in numbers is partly a result of severe weather conditions during the quarter that led to travel problems into and out of the UK. Sally Chatterjee, CEO, Visit London said: “London continues to be a focal point for global business, even in the face of challenging economic conditions. The jump in spending by business visitors is a reflection not just of returning confidence but also of the unrivalled range of restaurants and attractions on offer in the capital.” The US brought in the most business passengers. Numbers were up 10% and expenditure by 30%. Numbers from France were up 33%, Spain 57% and Germany 13%. In terms of holiday visitors, France brought in the most people. German numbers spiked by 16%, while the number of Irish...

Time Travel

...Time Travel Proven Today time travel continues to be a science fiction concept used in movies rather than a fact that many accounts and evidence from nature has proved. This article aims to present three main arguments that attempt to prove that time travelling does in fact exist and does not go against, but is possibly aligned with, physics theories and logic. According to author Marcus Chown (2011) in his article about time travel, the concept itself is actually proven by the basic theories of general relativity. The theory is simple; predicting that the closer one is to the ground, the slower time goes by. This is due to a connection between the stronger gravity and slower time progression. So for instance, if you are in a plane, time should move a bit faster than on the ground, etc. How this is linked to time travel is also simple. It becomes easier to understand how a man-made device, connecting two areas with different time progression, can achieve – at least to a certain extent – time travel. As Chown states, “if you could travel instantaneously from Earth to near the black hole, you could travel from Friday back to Wednesday”. However, nothing is more important to the average person than photographic evidence. Despite the wide room left for subjective debates, many photos have been revealed in the past that show strange out of place people in crowds. However, another piece of photographic evidence comes from the 1968 discovery by famous William J. Meister who collected...

Travel and Tourism Bussiness Plan

...Business plan: As a part of Travel & Tourism AS course we had to organize a trip. From the first day we were a group of five persons. However, due to some circumstances two of the members of our group are not taking the exam this year, even though they are still going to help us and participate in the organization of the trip. Finally our group consisted of 5 people:Dario,Patricia,Sofia,Valeria and I. Firstly,we were planning on taking a the Sixth Form and Y11 to the trip. But,because of some changes(our teacher told us) in our plans we had to take year 8 students from our school to attend our trip.We changed our choice because we thought that it was the most convenient year for us in terms of organization and discipline in edition whole Y8 group, had not being on a trip in a last academic year. The proximate age of students is 12-13 years old, they are not very small children, which makes easier to control them and contact with them, but also they are not adults, for that reason we would have enough authority to organize them and carry out an successful trip. We had a lot ideas where we can go,but we decided to narrow all these down to the 3 most convenient places:Benidorm,Alicante and Valencia. We discussed each in terms of cost, interest and convenience for all of participants. We distributed our work among group members:Patricia,Sofia and Valeria made the feasibility including a SWOT analysis of Benidorm,Dario did the SWOT analysis of Valencia, and I did of Alicante. *fesibility...

Role of Travel Trade Intermediaries

...Role of Travel Trade Intermediaries A travel agent's role is to find the best flight and itinerary to fit the client's needs, find hotels that match the client's specifications, provide information about activities and events at the client's destination and offer advance booking services or book the services for the client. Some travel agents also organise group travel and will expect to receive approximately 10 % commission on your gross rates for any business they send you. There has been a huge reduction in the number of retail travel agents and the decline of non-specialist independent retails due to the role of the internet in distributing travel products. A travel agent may be self employed or may be working for a travel agent company, either way the role is more or less the same. Travel agents take off the stress of making travelling arrangements from the traveler. Types There are many types of travel agents. Some work independently, others for agencies. Their roles will differ based on these distinctions. Independent travel agents may diversify options for you more whereas agencies will promote what the agency offers or has available. Benefits * Not having to do all the pre-travel preparations yourself can take the stress out of your vacation and you can be sure that the services you have reserved are valid and of good quality. Warnings * A travel agent may not warn you of visa requirements for other countries or travel advisories. These are not their...

Interstellar Travel

...What is interstellar travel? Interstellar space travel is manned or unmanned space travel between different star systems, in comparison with space travel to other bodies in the same star system. It is invariably more difficult, as the time and distance scale for such an endeavour is almost unimaginable Why we want to visit other stars? The group identified five key factors as high-level motivations for the exploration of distant space: • Human survival: ideas related to creating a legacy for the human species, backing up the Earth’s biosphere, and enabling long-term survival in the face of catastrophic disasters on Earth. • Contact with other life: finding answers to whether there is other life in the universe, whether “intelligent” life exists elsewhere in the galaxy, and at a basic level, whether we are alone in the universe. • Evolution of the human species: exploration as a human imperative, expansion of human understanding and consciousness through space exploration. • Scientific discovery: breakthroughs in scientific understanding of the natural universe, a pursuit for knowledge. • Belief and faith: a search for God or the Divine, a need to explore beyond Earth’s atmosphere as a part of natural theology or as found through religious revelation. These drivers for exploration were identified through group discussion as the most significant, high-level reasons why human societies and individuals would undertake the exploration of space over long timescales...

Time Travel

...Time Travel Jessica Xaypangna Mrs. Pecina Bernal NSC 1 November 28, 2012 Jessica Xaypangna Mrs. Pecina Bernal NSC 1 San Joaquin Valley College November 28, 2012 Time travel is the concept of moving between different points in time in a manner similarly to moving between different points in space. Once thought of as science fiction is now theoretically possible. Reading books, depicted in so many movies, lingering in many minds, can time travel really exist? Whether walking through a portal or spaceship speeding faster than the speed of light, if time traveling is indeed possible it will be considered physics, at a higher level and intelligence at which humans would not be capable of fully understanding for at least a few hundred years. Albert Einstein, Michio Kaku, and many other scientists and physicist alike believed in the expanding of the universe as one that curves on itself in three-dimensions. Through the bending of the universe, it is thought to be some loop holes or shortcuts allowing one to cut or travel through time. Black holes or wormholes are considered to have the power or the ability to do this. Speed has an important role in the rate at which and how we experience time. Time passes more slowly the closer you approach the cosmic speed limit which we call the speed of light. For example, the hands of a clock in a speeding train move more slowly than those of a stationary clock. A human passenger wouldn't feel the difference, but at the end...
