Thank you both for partaking and sharing your thoughts. I seek opportunities to progress. Consequently, without your impartial participation I would not have this opportunity. I agree, I need to slow down to prevent errors. This has become a bad habit, I intend to break. I had been rushing through work, due to the ERP implementation. In addition, the team was short a person. I was learning and testing a new system. I had to learn the terminated employee’s duties, some of which I didn’t know existed. I had to help train two new employees. This time was chaotic and I spend a lot of time firefighting and getting acclimated to new duties. It was difficult for me to shift gears and slow down, once we were staffed and trained. My plan to improve is to slow down and check my work. I …show more content…
The spreadsheet had the debits and credits reversed. I explained the error at the time it happened.
*I posted a batch without generating a payment. The old system didn’t allow this. I wasn’t aware because I was not trained on payments in AX testing. I did not have payment security while we trained and tested. I realized the error and brought it to the AP manager’s attention. I hoped we would find the solution and prevent it from happening again. The error was corrected by the AP manager, and no solution for prevention was discussed. I made the mistake once. The same mistake was made 2 more times after by the AP manager in an amount of $200,000.00.
* I took a batch to Ashley for approval. In the three months’ time that I reported to the AP Manager everything I did had changed. The system, the duties, the procedures, had all changed.
